WILL POWER/No.12 Team Penske Chevrolet won the MAVTV 500 IZOD IndyCar race at Auto Club Speedway Saturday night in one of the most exciting ever races, one of attrition. He led the most laps – 103 of 250. It was his third victory this year, and 21st overall. He said it was T-H-E best ever win.

Chevrolet won the Manufacturer’s Championship. By the last few laps of the race, there were no more eligible Honda drivers to score manufacturer points.

Team Owners ROGER PENSKE and CHIP GANASSI weren’t the only ones on the edge of their seats, figuratively. The complexion of the race changed lap by lap, and became quite the race of attrition.

Second through fourth were last year’s winner, ED CARPENTER/No.20 Ed Carpenter Racing, TONY KANAAN/No.11 KVSH Racing Chevrolet and JAMES HINCHCLIFFE/No.27 Andretti Autosport Chevrolet.
