Tony Kanaan's car

TONY KANAAN/KV Racing Technology Chevrolet hurt his right hand Sunday at the IZOD IndyCar race. Nothing was broken, but he suffered torn ligaments and contusions in what Kanaan describes as a “full-on injury.” He has less than two weeks for it to heal in time for the Brazil race on 5 May 2013.

Kanaan was really angry with ORIOL SERVIA/Panther DRR Chevrolet after the two ended in the tire wall on the last lap of the IZOD IndyCar race. Kanaan blamed Servia. “I was the leading Chevy car out there and it was looking like a good points race for us. I’m really disappointed on how it turned out.

Servia was assessed a thirty-second penalty for Avoidable Contact. He appealed, and the penalty was subsequently rescinded after the Race Stewards reviewed the video.

Michel Jourdain

It’s official now – several days after our conversation at Long Beach, MICHEL JOURDAIN, joined by Team Owner BOBBY RAHAL, in Mexico City to announce that Jourdain will drive at the 2013 Indianapolis 500. Jourdain, who has raced for Rahal before, will again be sponsored by Office Depot Mexico in No.17 Honda.
