Enjoying the morning its fresh breezes and not so cold temperatures in the (Florida) Bay Area for race day of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The weather is deeply overcast, windy near the water and breezy elsewhere, with fog. Saturday night there was a lot of fog, shrouding the tops of tall buildings. The dire weather predictions forecast 40-60 percent chance of rain, with thundershowers. It’s not if but when… could hit about race time for the IZOD IndyCar Series.
The morning schedule calls for IndyCar Warm-Up, as well as the second race for Cooper Tires Presents the USF200 Series and the Pirelli World Challenge. Not much turnover time for the latter group, whose first race ended after 6pm Saturday night.
Noon starts the festivities surrounding the IndyCar race, followed by the second race for the Pro Mazda Championship and the Historic Sports Car Racing vintage cars. Something for everyone.

And, if one is still looking for something to do in addition to all the fan fest activities and food vendors, there’s also the Dali Museum. How many race tracks can boast a world-wide renown art museum inside the track and open all race weekend – with a special admission fee for race fans.
