Carb Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is off to a cold start. It’s 52 degrees F and overcast. Various track vehicles are slow driving the course to ensure its dryness for the 10am half-hour practice for Firestone Indy Lights and then the 11am ET hour-long final practice for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 race.
At 12:30pm local time will be the 40-lap Firestone Freedom 100 race for the Indy Lights series.
At 1:30 pm is the Pit Stop Challenge, followed by a concert.
In the meantime, with all that going on, it’s also been back to back media announcements, on top of each other. Some got postponed or shifted as the pecking order of importance shifted the schedule.
